The experience

You take off from Taucho at 800 metres in an engineless tandem with a pilot who has been flying here for over 25 years. The flight is around 20 minutes and the whole experience about two hours including pick-up, transfer and return. You need to know nothing: the pilot handles the gear, walks you through the four steps of take-off, and all you do is run a few metres with him. What is worth understanding before booking is that this flies without an engine and so depends on the weather window: the day and time are confirmed based on wind, cloud and temperature, and sometimes it moves. That is why we always place it early in your trip, never the day before your flight home: that way, if it has to be rescheduled, there is room.
