Why Tenerife

Why Tenerife fits so many different excursions

Tenerife combines on a single island what travellers from all over the world are looking for: Spain's highest peak, coasts with whales and dolphins all year round, laurel forest ravines and villages with centuries of history. Naventia Trips organises these excursions with local guides and pickup in the south of the island.

  • Teide (3,715 m) takes you from 20 degrees to zero in a two-hour drive: the same island gives you beach and high mountain.
  • The pilot whales off the west coast are residents, not migratory: that is why they are seen in any month of the year.
  • Masca and Anaga hold laurel forest, a woodland that vanished from mainland Europe millions of years ago.
  • The south is dry and sunny nearly always and the north is green and cloudy: in bad weather you switch area and save the day.
  • Nearly everything departs from the south, where we are, so transfers are short and problems get solved quickly.

Frequently asked questions

Everything about excursions in Tenerife

How many excursions fit into a week?

Three or four, no more. Teide, Loro Parque and La Gomera are full days that cannot be chained together without leaving you exhausted. What we usually build is: two big days, a couple of half-days like kayaking or jet ski, and the rest free. People who book six excursions in seven days go home needing a holiday.

Is there a bad time to come?

No, and that is the point of the Canaries. What does change is what is worth doing: Teide and hiking are better from spring to autumn, when it does not freeze up there; Whale and Dolphin Watching and boat trips work all twelve months because the whales live here.

Will you tell me which excursions not to do?

Yes. Naventia Trips designs weeks combining Teide, catamaran, hiking, jet ski and jeep safari. Tell us your idea and we'll prepare the plan.

Where does Naventia Trips operate in Tenerife?

We work mainly from the south, where nearly all excursions depart and where most people stay, but the routes reach the whole island: Teide, the west coast, Masca, Anaga and the north. If you are staying in the north, tell us before booking anything: pick-up times change and some excursions stop being worth the drive.
