Is it worth it?
It depends on what you expect. It's a simple countryside visit, to a working banana plantation and an aloe vera farm that is still growing, not a theme park. What makes it worthwhile is that you see things you won't see from the beach: how Canarian bananas are grown and what's inside an aloe leaf.
The favourite part is the aloe: they cut a leaf in front of you and you taste the pulp as it is, nothing like a pharmacy cream. At the banana plantation there's a tasting of products made with banana and gofio, plus seasonal tropical fruit. At €59 with bus and guide, it's one of the cheapest tours we sell.
And it ends at 13:00. On an island where almost every tour takes the whole day, doing something in the morning and having the afternoon free changes how the day goes. It's a winter programme: it runs on Wednesdays from November 2026 to April 2027.

Frequently asked questions
Is it a high-end food experience?
No, and we'd rather say so up front. It's a countryside visit with a tasting, not a guided tasting session or a chef's menu. If that's what you want, this isn't your tour.
How much is it, and do children pay less?
€59 per adult and €49 for children aged 4 to 11. Included: bus with pick-up, guide, banana plantation with tasting and the aloe farm. Not included: purchases and any meal.
Is there pressure to buy?
The farms sell what they produce and the aloe visit ends next to its products: that's part of the format. Nobody pushes and buying is optional.
What if I'm not into the countryside?
Then think it over: it's two farm visits and a bus ride. If rural life leaves you cold, the morning may feel long. With children, though, it usually works.
Which language is it explained in?
In Spanish, English, French or German. Tell us yours when booking and we'll confirm with the provider.
Is there food, or should I have breakfast first?
Have breakfast first: pick-up is around 8:00 and there are tastings, not a meal. You're back by 13:00 for lunch.
Is it suitable for grandparents or people who walk little?
Yes, it's one of the best fits: little walking, on the flat, with a bus between the two farms. If someone uses a wheelchair, tell us beforehand and we'll check, as farm ground isn't pavement.
Aloe and bananas, bananas and winery, or market and prickly pears?
If you like wine, bananas and winery (Tuesday, €68). If you want to buy local produce, market and prickly pears (Friday, €59). With children, or if aloe appeals, this one. All three bring you back by 13:00.
Why only on Wednesdays?
Because the provider runs it on a fixed day each week, like the rest of its programme. If Wednesday doesn't suit you, tell us and we'll suggest something else for that day.
Am I picked up, and can I cancel?
You're picked up at your accommodation anywhere in the south of Tenerife around 8:00 and brought back there. Free cancellation up to 48 hours before; we confirm places with the provider before finalising.
How is the booking confirmed?

Can you tell me what else to do on those days?
Yes, and it is what we get asked most. Tell us which days you have free and where you are staying, and we will say what pairs well with this excursion and what should not go on the same day.
