What makes Siam Park special?
Siam Park has for years been voted the world's best water park in TripAdvisor's awards, and what sets it apart is not only the slides: the whole place is built in Thai-inspired architecture, with temples, statues and tropical planting. It does not feel like a standard water park, and that is why it also appeals to people who are not especially into slides.
The big ones are the Tower of Power, a 28-metre vertical free-fall slide, and the Dragon. Then there is the Wave Palace, a wave pool with waves up to 3 metres, the rapids river and the Lazy River for recovering in between. There are slides for every age, so it works as well with teenagers as with small children, though some rides have a minimum height. Practical tip: do the two or three big ones as soon as you get in and leave the calm ones for the afternoon.
It is in Costa Adeje, in the heart of the tourist south, so if you are staying nearby you need no transfer and can walk or take a short taxi. That is the practical difference from Loro Parque, which is in the north and takes the whole day including travel. If you have to choose between the two and travel with children who get bored walking, this one usually wins; if they love animals and can handle a long day, the other leaves a better memory.

Frequently asked questions
How much time do I need at Siam Park?
Between 4 and 6 hours is plenty for the big rides and for lying down a while. It opens from 10:00 to 18:00, and if you arrive at opening time you get the big rides done before it fills up. No need to stay until closing.
How much does it cost?
Entry is €44 per adult and €32 per child aged 3 to 11; under 3s go free. Open daily from 10:00 to 18:00. If you need transport, the coach from El Médano, Golf del Sur or Ten-Bel runs on Mondays only at 09:00 and takes the price to €48 and €33.50. And if you are staying in Costa Adeje or Los Cristianos, we will say it plainly: do not pay for the coach, you are a short taxi ride away. The Twin Ticket with Loro Parque is €78 and €57, and it only pays off if you really are going to both.
When do we not recommend it?
If you are not into slides or queues: in high season the big rides fill up and a good part of the day is waiting. And if you travel only with very small children, you pay for a whole park to use the kids’ area; in that case, a beach in the south does the same for nothing. With teenagers, on the other hand, it is one of the safest bets we sell.
Are there attractions for small children?
Yes. There are dedicated areas for little ones with gentle slides and shallow pools, so it works for families with mixed ages: the older ones head for the big rides and the little ones have their part. The big rides have a minimum height, so measure your children before promising them the Tower of Power.
Where is Siam Park in Tenerife?
In Costa Adeje, right next to Playa de las Américas and Los Cristianos. From most hotels in the south you get there on foot or with a short taxi ride, so you need neither transfer nor car. That is its big advantage over Loro Parque.
Is there a discount for children?
Under-3s free and 3 to 11-year-olds at a reduced fare. We confirm the exact price when you book, as it varies by season.
Full day or half day?
A long half day: arrive at 10:00, do the two or three big ones in a row, have lunch, a couple of laps of the lazy river and leave mid-afternoon. That way you have energy left for the evening and you do not spend the whole day on a sunbed. Staying until closing only pays off for those who never tire of slides.
What if the day starts cloudy?
In the south of Tenerife that is rare, and the park opens all the same: the water is the same temperature with or without sun. If you still prefer to change, free cancellation up to 48 hours before and a change of date subject to availability.
Can I do it on the same day as another excursion?
In the morning yes, if the other one is in the late afternoon or evening and relaxed, like the ARONA show on Wednesdays. What does not work is Siam Park after a full-day excursion: you arrive with no appetite for queues. Tell us your days and we tell you where it fits best.
